With both Mike Huckabee and Donald Trump deciding not to run for the GOP nomination the path has been cleared up to allow Ron Paul to gain it. Trump’s lack of serious credentials, ideas, and principals would never have taken him far into the race and like many others he may have decided against running simply because of the problems any candidate would have to face. Wars, the economy, a rapidly changing Middle East and Central Asia along with a rising China are just some of the issues that Obama and his Republican counterpart will have to discuss, deal with, and ultimately attempt to solve.
Although Mittens Romney is still described as having the greatest chance of winning, this blog does not see a Mormon, former governor of Massachusetts, and architect of universal health care in that same state as having a viable chance. Frankly everyone else is in the same boat. Uneducated regarding the workings of the free market, American history, the Constitution, and simple respect of others makes everyone from Obama to Palin poor candidates for the executive branch of the federal government of the United States.
The one man who has the credentials and the principles to back him up is Ron Paul. Not only does he have the answers, but these answers are sane. A non-interventionist foreign policy, a balanced budget, a proper American defense policy, a strong hard currency, the elimination of the Federal Reserve, and finally a real fidelity to the Constitution are all part of Paul’s plan to make America, and at the same time the world, freer, saner, happier, and more peaceful.
It doesn’t get much better than that.
